Make it beautiful. Make it different. Make it work.
Balance. Striking the balance between art and commerce is what makes great advertising work. It must be beautiful and different enough to capture the imagination. It must be articulate and poignant enough to create the desired effect. Throughout his 21 year career (18 at FCB San Francisco), Bacino has applied his balanced approach, combining visual nuance and a clever voice, to create award winning campaigns for Levi’s 501s, Levi Strauss Signature, Dockers San Francisco, Hilton Hotels, MTV, Fox Sports, and Sega.
Bacino actually began his career as an account executive at Lintas: NY working on Coca-Cola Classic, Johnson & Johnson’s ACUVUE Disposable Contact Lenses, and the IBM PS2, giving him a unique perspective on creativity and strategy. This perspective served him well on results oriented businesses like Taco Bell, Payless Shoes, Clorox and SC Johnson.
Today the Swirl ECD balances running the Creative Department, working on his golf game, and racing through the hills of Sausalito to attend his two daughters’ soccer and gymnastic events. A balancing act indeed.
